Overheard at the Howling Hog
The ferryman and the tanner argued over what the little hooded spearman rode in on. The tanner says a ram. The ferryman says it had antlers. He sits with his legs still bowed for a saddle and won't settle it. Whatever it was has wandered off, and he'll pay whoever brings it back.
Use it as
- A grippli cavalry PC who's better in the saddle than out of it
- A mounted scout the party hires to carry word ahead of them
- A raider who charges in on a different beast every time
DM tip
He needs a mount (sold separately), so let the players pick it. Whatever they choose is what he lost, and getting it back is the first job.
