Assembly tips
- File or scrape off any flash, the thin bits left over from casting.
- If the tab sits loose in the base slot, bend it into a shallow V so it wedges in, then add a drop of superglue.
- Fill any gaps with putty or basing sand before you prime.

Overheard at the Howling Hog
The lamplighter's furious. Every night this week she's stood in the square, fired a flare over the rooftops and waited for a heron that never comes. She says her bird got lost in a storm. Last night somebody out on the fens fired one back. She'd pay a silver to know who.
Use it as
- An elf gunslinger or pathfinder PC with a flare for emergencies
- An investigator searching the countryside for something that flies
- A smuggler's lookout signaling boats in from the cliffs
DM tip
Give her one flare per session. Firing it lights the whole map for a round, and something out there always answers.
