Assembly tips
- File or scrape off any flash, the thin bits left over from casting.
- If the tab sits loose in the base slot, bend it into a shallow V so it wedges in, then add a drop of superglue.
- Fill any gaps with putty or basing sand before you prime.

Overheard at the Howling Hog
Free to whoever finds its key: one clockwork horse, standing in the farrier's yard exactly where it stopped at midnight on midsummer. Nobody's wound it since. Still, the gears in its shoulder turn one notch every hour. The tinker who built it lives up the pass, and he's stopped answering his door.
Use it as
- A steed for an artificer or tinkerer PC
- A tinker's prize horse the party's hired to recover
- A clockwork war mount for a construct knight or villain
DM tip
Give it a winding key. Every eight hours of travel someone has to wind it, and if they forget, it stops right where it's standing.
