Assembly tips
- File or scrape off any flash, the thin bits left over from casting.
- If the tab sits loose in the base slot, bend it into a shallow V so it wedges in, then add a drop of superglue.
- Fill any gaps with putty or basing sand before you prime.

Overheard at the Howling Hog
Every notch down his long sword is somebody he couldn't save. Ask and he'll tell you every name. Last night he sat watching the common room for an hour, then quietly cut a fresh one. He says there's still time. He just needs to know which of you it's for.
Use it as
- An elf fighter or cavalier PC with a two-handed sword and a long memory
- A grim caravan guard who counts every loss
- A rogue knight hunting whoever made the latest notch
DM tip
Add a notch to his blade whenever someone the party was protecting falls. When the sword runs out of room, give him a quest to set it right.
