'Pay up, Quenby.' 'Pay up, Quenby.' That's the two crows on the back fence. Nobody here's called Quenby. They started the night the peddler's cart went into the river and haven't stopped. Last night a stranger flinched when they said it, and paid for his drink in wet coins.

DM tip

Give the crows one line to repeat each session. Make it something the villain said off-screen, and let the players piece the sentences together.
