Overheard at the Howling Hog

Lamplighters on the citadel road keep seeing him at the third milestone after dark, that great sword upright beside him, waiting for an order. His hair stands on end as if the wind's blowing up from below. The guards at the citadel say he's one of theirs. They've also stopped using that road.

DM tip

Use his raised sword as a clock. While it's up he's on guard and won't move first, and the moment it drops, roll initiative.
