Overheard at the Howling Hog
A sprout keeps turning up in the window box outside the bakery, grinning. It's a tree-folk no taller than a cat, and whenever the baker steps out it throws its twig arms wide like it wants a hug. He's tried shooing it, but it just roots in deeper. He hasn't tried the hug.
DM tip
Whenever the party rests anywhere with soil, it's there in the morning. Never explain how it got there.
