Overheard at the Howling Hog
The trappers' guild is paying ten silver for whatever's been emptying their snares. All they've found is feathers and four-footed tracks, and one trapper says he saw it crouched in the ferns with an owl's face, reaching out one clawed paw like it wanted to shake hands. He didn't shake. The bounty's for alive.
DM tip
It hunts low and pounces. Keep it hidden in rough terrain and only put it on the map when someone checks a snare.
