Mornings she carries that mace across her shoulders like a milkmaid's yoke, the dairy's pails hung off the far end. Afternoons she breaks up fights on the docks with the same mace, and she's never needed to swing it twice. Now somebody's stealing the dairy's cows, and she's put the pails down.
DM tip
Mace across the shoulders means she's off guard. Her first swing down hits like a wagon, then she needs a turn to heave it back up.
