Three bolted rooms on the top floor, and by morning three guests had lost their amulets. The only one in the house still wearing one is the elf in the turban, and he says the Strymian Thieves Guild would never stoop to amulets. He's offended enough to help find who did. He pays in favors.

Never let the players see his hands empty. If he's in a scene, something small goes missing from the party, and they get one roll to notice.
