Left on the bar for its owner: one gold nugget and one dwarf's tooth, both brought up from the east shaft yesterday. He's the only miner still working that shaft since the knocking started. He says it's just the rock settling. Lately it knocks back. He's looking for a partner who won't ask whose tooth.
DM tip
Lay a string in a cone out from his headlamp. That's all the party can see down the shaft, so place every threat just past the end of it.
